Izzah Learning Center

Izzah Learning Center is a non-profit organization located in Ottawa, Ontario, dedicated to the teaching and memorization of the Noble Qur'an. Established in May 2013, the center provides a welcoming and comfortable environment for women, youth, and children to learn proper Tajweed and recitation. Its name, 'Izzah,' signifies dignity, strength, and power, reflecting the center's mission to develop strong and skilled reciters of the Qur'an. The center offers various programs and classes tailored for different age groups and skill levels, including the foundational Nooraniyyah course, Talqeen & Tilawah for reading, and Hifth for memorization. Emphasis is placed on accurate recitation, clear articulation, correct letter characteristics, and consistent rule application. Small class sizes ensure effective learning and provide opportunities for one-on-one interaction with teachers. Izzah Learning Center also focuses on fostering excellence and nurturing reciters with the ethics and values of the Qur'an, encouraging these principles to be reflected in students' lives and the wider Canadian society. Beyond academic learning, the center hosts community-building activities, spiritual workshops, and training opportunities for women aspiring to become future Qur'an instructors.
