Ottawa breaks world record for longest shawarma sandwich at Shawarma Fest

The Shawarma Festival in Ottawa has officially made global headlines after setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest shawarma sandwich ever created. The record-breaking sandwich measured 2,451 connected shawarma wraps, surpassing the previous record of 2,187. The massive wrap stretched over 1,100 feet along a long line of tables set up at the festival grounds. In a gesture of community support, the giant shawarma will be donated to the Shepherds of Good Hope.
