Stittsville Muslim Association or SMA was established in 2019 to serve the growing Muslim community in Stittsville and the surrounding areas.

SMA is the first official mosque in Stittsville, operated entirely by volunteers dedicated to creating a welcoming space for worship and community activities.

Starting as a volunteer-led initiative, SMA has developed into an active community centre offering daily prayers, Jumu’ah services, Taraweeh during Ramadan, and Eid celebrations.

The mosque runs sunday school, Quran classes, youth leadership programs, and innovative initiatives to engage younger generations. They also host seasonal camps, including March and summer camps, designed to enrich spiritual and social development.

The association continues to grow, with plans to establish a permanent mosque and expand its services to meet the spiritual and social needs of the community.
