Kanata Muslim Association

Kanata Muslim Association is a registered charity and community mosque serving the Kanata area and greater Ottawa West. Established in 2004 to support the growing Muslim population in the region, the association focuses on spiritual growth, education, outreach, and community well‑being. The mosque hosts the five daily prayers and multiple Jum’ah prayer sessions each week, welcoming men, women, and children of all ages for worship and communal connection. Beyond prayer services, Kanata Muslim Association organizes a range of educational and social programs. These include Quran classes, youth activities, elder programs, and community events like art workshops and leadership clubs that engage families and individuals throughout the year. KMA also offers counselling support, zakat and financial assistance initiatives, and regular outreach efforts to assist those in need. As part of its long‑term vision, the association is actively working on building a purpose‑built mosque and community centre designed to provide expanded space for worship, learning, wellness activities, and community services.
