Centretown Mosque​

Centretown Mosque is located in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Officially inaugurated in 2025, the mosque occupies a historic building originally constructed in 1911, giving it both cultural and architectural significance. With its central location and welcoming spirit, Centretown Mosque serves as a vibrant spiritual hub for Muslims living, working, or studying in the downtown area. Led by Imam Dr. Muhammad Suliman, the mosque is dedicated to offering a peaceful space for daily prayers, Friday sermons, community programs, and educational events. Its mission goes beyond prayer, it also fosters interfaith dialogue and community outreach. The mosque is open to both Muslims and non-Muslims, and has taken part in Ottawa’s Doors Open events to educate the wider public about Islam.
