Overview
Ottawa South Mosque, also known as Jamia Masjid Al-Farooq Al-Azam, was established in 2023 to meet the spiritual and social needs of the rapidly growing Muslim community in the area.
The mosque is housed in a beautifully renovated building, providing a welcoming and peaceful environment for worshippers of all ages and backgrounds. It offers daily prayers, Jumaa services, Taraweeh during Ramadan, and Eid prayers.

The mosque is committed to promoting interfaith dialogue and community engagement, helping to build bridges of understanding among Ottawa’s diverse populations.
Facilities include a spacious prayer hall, separate areas for men and women, multipurpose rooms for classes and events, and spaces designed to accommodate community gatherings and celebrations. The mosque also organizes social outreach programs and volunteer initiatives to support local needs.
The mosque’s leadership, including the Imam, is dedicated to providing guidance, counseling, and support to community members.
Ottawa South Mosque continues to be a vital center of faith, education, and unity, welcoming all who seek a respectful and inclusive environment to practice Islam and connect with others.
